I was Chief Risk Officer of a Romanian bank when, at the beginning of 2010, I decided that, if I want to do it, I should do it now, so I quit the job in order to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a trader. I had always wanted more from life, and trading was the way to make this happen. Or so I thought.

I went through several years of losing money trying to learn how to trade. Day after day, week after week, month after month, trying to be better, giving it everything, and still failing.

I kept losing money. It really seemed unfair. Nothing worked. To say that disappointment and frustrations kept piling up would be an understatement. I wanted to give up countless times – the feelings of powerlessness and uselessness were truly overwhelming.

At the same time I was devouring hundreds of books and articles about the psychology of success, about how to squeeze a last drop of energy and willpower and keep fighting, about how to train your mindset to become the best you can be.

Looking back, this was an amazing period of my life. I learned and applied on myself a tremendous amount of principles and techniques ultimately aimed at never giving up and reaching success. More importantly, along the way I have discovered that I hugely enjoy sharing with others what I know. I love motivating and inspiring people.
